Grays the Mountain Sends
My latest project explores the lives of working people residing in small mountain towns and mining communities in the American West. With the poetry of Richard Hugo as inspiration, I’ve set out to hint at narratives and relay the experiences of strangers I've met in settings that spur my own emotions. Ultimately, the series is a meditation on small town life, the landscape, and more importantly, the inner landscapes that shape the hearts of common men.
In conjuction with a solo exhibition of this work, a selection of photos are viewable exclusively on the Houston Center for Photography website – view here.
The remainder of the project will make its debut early next year.
